Shamsuddin Khan is the chairman of Allied Resources Ltd. For over 35 years, he has managed a plethora of companies for A K Khan Co. Ltd., one of Bangladesh’s oldest and largest conglomerates that owns businesses ranging from deep sea fishing to industrial manufacturing to telecommunications. He also serves as chairman of A K Khan Foundation, a non-profit social welfare organization supporting the improvement of health and education services. Among numerous philanthropic ventures he founded A K Khan Healthcare Trust to make a positive impact in Bangladesh’s healthcare industry by developing nurses to international standards. He has held numerous diplomatic, chairman and executive committee roles for the country and industry. Shamsuddin graduated from Chittagong University specializing in commerce and earned a master’s in business management degree from Frankfurt School of Finance and Management in Germany.
Full BioUsama T Aziz began his career during his college years at UT Austin where he studied astronomy and physics with a special focus on compact stellar objects. Before graduation he established his first business relationship with Hyundai Computers and Electronics to create an IT hub in Dhaka, his hometown and birthplace in Bangladesh. Shortly thereafter he set up Toonz Technologies, an animation service provider to the 2D motion media industry with focus on education and the young audience. Following the successful merger of the portfolio of the latter with KFG, as well as a smooth running overseas family operation Pax Overseas Ltd., he shifted focus to the acquisition of real estate assets with the view to establish a well-segmented and diversified real estate portfolio. In recognition of the importance of project governance and operational diligence he obtained the franchise of Movenpick Hotels and Resorts, a Swiss based hotel operator and end-user hospitality service provider.

He pioneered the opening of new markets for the Bangladeshi workforce, including contracts to build the Burj Khalifa in UAE and a nuclear power plant in Abu Dhabi. He jointly established Asian Resorts and Holding Ltd., which builds 5-star hotels in Bangladesh. He is a founder of CARES (Committee for Action Research Extension and Services), which supports science and technology research of immediate economic value. He is active in leadership of community organizations. He established the H. Bliss Foundation, which procures funds to run scientific projects for poverty alleviation, health, education, sustainable living, and animal welfare. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Hanover College, Indiana, USA.
Full BioSamanzar Khan is Deputy Managing Director for Allied Resources Ltd. She is also CEO of A K Khan Healthcare Trust, a philanthropic venture to develop healthcare workers and healthcare facilities in Bangladesh. For the trust, she developed the Nursing Bridge Program, a one-year world-class continuing education program for registered nurses to attain globally competitive standards through a partnership with Massachusetts General Hospital in the USA. She also developed the Bedside Assistant Training Program to produce semi-skilled community caregivers for hospitals, clinics and nursing homes. She led the Women Cancer Screening Program in partnership with Massachusetts General Hospital. She is the Managing Director of Khan Agricultural Products Ltd (KAP), which provides products to the farming industry via a broad vendor network of distribution. She received her LLB Bachelor of Laws degree from the London School of Economics and has been called to the bar.
Full BioSherfehnaz Khan is oversees affairs director for Allied Resources Ltd. she holds management positions in businesses owned by A K Khan Co. Ltd in the Plywood and telecom industries. She has also founded businesses in the food and beverage industry, livestock trading, and venture capitalism. Her background is in project implementation, operation analysis, and pro-bono work and has served as an operations consultant for start-up firms in New York. At an early age she launched an ice cube production plant as a social venture where profits were donated to sponsor orphan education and employment services. Sherfehnaz is a graduate of Boston University’s School of Management, where she majored in business administration with a concentration in entrepreneurship.
